Since 1 October 2006 Energie AG Trading has been providing direct access to both national and international energy markets.
As a 100% subsidiary of Energie AG Oberösterreich we co-ordinate the procurement and sales of energy on the wholesale market for the whole group.
The main focus of our business operations is trading in electricity, natural gas, and energy-related products like CO 2-certificates and guarantees of origin.
With our direct links to the major market participants in the energy sector and membership of international energy exchanges we are ready to exploit business opportunities across the energy-trading sector.
Our activities include proprietary trading as well as the commercial optimization of power plant operation and supply contracts.
Being present on all important energy markets we can effectively ensure the procurement of fuel for our power plants.
We not only profit from our energy trading activities within our group, we also offer our services to third parties.
Recent development in the energy markets especially the liberalization of the electricity and gas market, has resulted in new challenges for Energie AG Trading. One specific issue in liberalized markets is the management of price risks. Our Know-how and established handling structures have formed the basis of our successful hedging strategies.
Moreover, our tasks embrace the energy-related planning within the group and any market-related analysis with regard to strategic decisions.
Further, we are responsible for the administration and management of our procurement rights resulting from the participations of power plants. In this regard, Energie AG Trading represents the Energie AG group to third parties.
