In cooperation with OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH, the headquarters of Energie AG Oberösterreich is once again presenting an impressive exhibition this year featuring recent award winners and artistic perspectives. Complemented by the inclusion of an established artist, the exhibition offers a multifaceted insight into contemporary artistic creation.

The focus is on the following awards and grants:

The Talent Promotion Award from Energie AG and the University of Art and Design Linz was presented to Caroline Lerbro, whose sculptural installations are conceived as open “situations” that make processes of change, transition, and contradiction tangible.

Martin Veigl was awarded the Klemens Brosch Prize. In his drawings, he focuses on the everyday and the interpersonal, capturing fleeting moments and complex group constellations in precisely composed vignettes.

The WHAT A VIEW Photography Prize, awarded for the first time by OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH, went to Erli Grünzweil. His photographic works move between documentary and staged photography, developing multi-layered, atmospherically dense visual spaces from carefully composed individual images. He takes a particular interest in the photobook as an independent medium, in which his works coalesce into narrative sequences of images.

Ilona Ágnes Tömő and Katja Vassilieva are featured as part of Energie AG’s Artist-in-Residence program. While Vassilieva develops multi-layered pictorial spaces composed of color, texture, and rhythm in her non-representational painting, Tömö works with everyday materials, transforming them into expansive, organically rendered installations.

Photographer Elfie Semotan was invited as an established artist. Her extensive body of work is characterized by a keen sense of staging and narrative. Her photographs, which often appear like cinematic snapshots, open up visual spaces that point beyond the immediately visible and move between art, fashion, advertising, and everyday life.

With this exhibition, Energie AG once again sends a clear signal regarding the connection between business, technology, and art, and underscores the high value placed on contemporary art within the company. This is evident not only in the comprehensive art collection spanning all 18 floors of the Power Tower, but also in art installations in the new building and at the Gmunden site, as well as in the company’s ongoing support of emerging artists.
